The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor, Rizwan Ahmed, who was representing the Bureau in important cases in IHC, has now resigned from his post over personal reasons, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

Rizwan Ahmed was representing the Bureau in courts in cases against PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her husband Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar Awan.

Rizwan was part of the NAB prosecutors’ team which was representing the anti-graft watchdog in the Islamabad High Court in Avenfield and fake accounts cases against the PML-N leaders.

Muhammad Rizwan represented the NAB in 270 cases.

Meanwhile, an accountability court in Lahore on Wednesday sent an accused Ali Ahmed Khan to jail on judicial remand.

Ali Ahmed Khan has been arrested in Shehbaz Sharif alleged TT case.

The court remarked that there was no need for another physical remand.

The accused thanked the accountability court for rejecting the physical remand plea of the NAB.
