Centre asks KP, Balochistan govts to take terrorism seriously

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has expressed the hone that the federal government will crush the menace of terrorism completely in the country, asking Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochisan to take serious steps for eradicating militancy in the provinces, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, the interior minister assured the public that the government will tackle terrorism seriously. “The acceptance of responsibility for Quetta terrorist attack by the TTP is condemnable,” he said.

Responding to a question, Rana Sanaullah said Imran Khan was trying to create instability in the country with his assemblies dissolution threat but he did not enjoy support of the public for his “politics of anarchy”.

“Imran Khan will not follow his announcement of dissolving two provincial assemblies because his target is something else,” the minister said and added “The system is excellent if it makes Imran Khan prime minister, otherwise it is faulty.”

The interior minister said that terrorism was taking root in the country, adding it was not that the situation had gone out of control. “The Armed Forces of Pakistan are prepared to deal with any situation,” he stated.

“The terrorist activities of the TTP are a big threat to the peace of the region. The provincial administration in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) should take the matter seriously,” he emphasised.

“The federal government is prepared to control terrorism. We assure the public that terrorism will be controlled completely,” he declared.

“If Imran Khan dissolves the assemblies, elections will be held in two provinces only,” he asserted and added that the general elections in the country would be held on time.

“Whenever there are elections, we are ready,” he claimed.
