CM eyes South Punjab to lift country's beef exports

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi Thursday visited Dera Ghazi Khan Veterinary Hospital and Livestock Business and Incubation Center, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the report, CM Naqvi announced the imposition of a livestock emergency to increase production in Bahawalpur and Dera Ghazi Khan to 20%.
He ordered the owner of the institution to share the plan within 7 days.
While talking to the media, the Chief Minister asked for a sustainable strategy that should be formulated in 7 days to increase livestock production to 20%.
He further stated that the demand for Pakistan's dairy products is increasing in the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
“All possible steps will be taken for livestock and dairy development in Punjab. Best vaccines and injections for livestock will also be provided”, Mohsin said.
Naqvi also checked the registered and other records in the hospital whereas the Provincial Minister Ibrahim Murad gave a briefing.
Provincial Secretaries, Commissioner, and other officials were also present on the spot.
Earlier, CM Naqvi visited Dera Ghazi Khan Institute of Cardiology and reviewed the functions of the organization.
He directed the medical staff to make sure the medicines and other necessary items were available for the patients.
CM Naqvi made a detailed visit to the basement, ground floor and first floor of the Institute of Cardiology, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi inspected the gamma camera, CT scan, and MRI room, the cafeteria as well as inspected the OPD of the Institute.

After his visit to the Institute of Cardiology, he talked to the media and said that the patients of South Punjab are taking benefit from the Dera Ghazi Khan Cardiology Institute.
He further addressed that he wanted to improve the management of the hospital and to provide all the facilities for the patients.
Secretary Health, Secretary CNW, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan, and other officials were present at the spot.
