Pakistani rupee stands defiant against US dollar in interbank

The Pakistani rupee recorded a meagre gain against the US dollar in interbank market on Friday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the local currency rose in value by 20 paisas against the greenback and settled for the week at Rs284.97.

On Thursday, the Pakistani rupee had registered a marginal gain against the US dollar, settling for the day at Rs285.17.

In a related development, the total liquid foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $77 million to $7.257 billion during the week ended November 24, 2023.
