Chinese working on CPEC screened for coronavirus

All Chinese nationals and Pakistanis working on different China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects were screened for coronavirus but none of them was found infected.

Ghotki Deputy Commissioner Khalid Saleem said that eight Chineses and 28 Pakistanis working in the district were screened and their lab tests were found to be clear.

These workers are working on Sukkur-Multan Motorway (M-5) project, he added.

Similarly, three Chinese civil engineers, who recently returned from China to resume work in Gwadar, were also tested for coronavirus. They also tested negative. According to CEO of the Gwadar District Health Authority, the Chinese engineers were kept in isolation for tests. Their test reports were negative and their health condition was satisfactory, he added.
