Pakistan issues Sukuk Bonds worth Rs1b

Pakistan Tuesday issued Sukuk Bonds of Rs1billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the Federal Ministry, Pakistan has received an offer of Sukuk bonds worth Rs2.7billion.
As per the Federal Ministry, the investors from Asia, Middle East, America and Europe have shown interest in purchasing the bonds.
Sukuk bonds have been issued for seven years, Federal Ministry said.
The Finance Ministry said that Sukuk bonds have been issued for the first time under the Trust Certificate Issuance Programme.
Pakistan looking to get the maximum benefit from this programme, the ministry concluded.
