Cases against two student groups involved in clash at Urdu University

Cases were registered against the members of two student organisations for clashing with each other at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences and Technology (FUUAST) in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The case was registered against the students at Aziz Bhatti police station on behalf of the government.

Earlier on Thursday, at least six students were injured when two student groups clashed with each other at the FUUAST.

According to police, students of both the groups attacked each other with batons and stones, resulting in injuries to six of the students.

Taking notice of the matter, the university administration called the police that reached the spot and arrested several students of both groups.

The students had also clashed with the police personnel.

The injured students were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. The reason behind the clash was yet to be ascertained.
