Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh General-Secretary Allama Rashid Soomro has announced to quit politics after failing to prove rigging in the local body elections in the province.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, Rashid Soomro demanded the formation of a committee comprising members of the National Assembly to probe the rigging in Sindh elections.

The JUI-F leader said that his reservations should be removed as the biggest rigged and violent election in the country's history took place in the first phase of local body elections in Sindh.

Soomro further stated that the Sindh government had made delimitations of the constituencies and set up polling stations as per their own desires and favourable conditions.

He said instead of registering cases against those who were involved in rigging on polling day, the cases have been registered against his party workers.
