Kazakhstan’s envoy says Pakistan going to become world’s largest economy

Kazakhstan’s envoy in Islamabad Yarjan Christopher has said that Pakistan is going to emerge as the world’s largest economy.
Talking to 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday, he has said that direct flight operation between the two countries will commence soon.
He has further said that trade volume between the two countries will increase. “Pakistan will become the hub of business activities in future,” he prophesied.
Christopher has said that the Central Asian republics are mindful of the importance of Pakistan for the region’s economy, and have already drawn up plans to make the most of it.
Kazakh envoy has also stressed the need for a road link between Pakistan and the Central Asian states.
He has said that Kazakhstan as well other countries in the region are determined to expand trade relations with Pakistan.
Christopher has said it is unfortunate that Pakistan was projected as a safe haven for terrorists. “But the situation here is entirely the opposite of that,” he has said.
For Kazakhstan, he has added, Gwadar is the nearest seaport.
The ambassador has said that following the war in Ukraine, Kazakhstan can export food items to other countries via Pakistan.
Christopher has said a large number of tourists from Pakistan are expected to visit Kazakh city of Turkistan where there will be a festival in July.
He has said that there are several tourist resorts in Pakistan. “We plan to start direct flight between Lahore and Almaty by June-end,” he has informed, adding, “In the second phase, direct flight will also start between Karachi and Almaty.”
The envoy has expressed the hope that the start of direct flights will help increase trade volume between the two countries.
Christopher has said that Pakistan is his second home as he has got loads of love and affection from the people here. “There are several things common between the two countries such as food and language,” he has said.
He has stressed the need for increasing contacts between the peoples of two countries.
The ambassador has informed that both countries are working closely in the field of education. “Kazakhstan’s National University and Pakistan’s Quaid-e-Azam University have inked an agreement recently,” he has added.
Christopher has told 24News that representatives of Pakistan’s leading universities will visit Kazakhstan in August, while a delegation of traders from Kazakhstan will soon visit Lahore.
