Indian actress Amrita Pandey found dead hours after posting cryptic message

Amrita Pandey, a Bhojpuri actress known by her stage Annapurna, was found dead under enigmatic circumstances at her home in Bhagalpur district, Bihar Police said.

The police suspected that the 27-years-old actress died by suicide, as per an NDTV report: however, they did not recover any suicide note but mentioned a cryptic WhatsApp status she posted before her death which reads: "Do naav me savaar thi uski zindagi, humne apni naav duba ke uska safar aasaan kar diya (His/her life was sailing on two boats, I made their journey easy by sinking mine).

As per the family resources, the actress was enduring severe depression due to a struggling career in the entertainment industry.

Amrita was living in Mumbai along with her husband.

She was last seen in the web series titled Pratishodh. She has also shared the big screen with Bhojpuri superstar Khesari Lal Yadav in the film Deewanapan (2018).
