UK announces seven climate-related projects for Pakistan

The United Kingdom has announced initial plans under the initiative Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) after the devastating floods in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to the British High Commission, seven innovative low-carbon projects were selected out of more than 50 applications, in the first cohort of projects for Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA) across Pakistan.
These projects are vital initiatives by United Kingdom for Pakistan regarding the climate change. The projects include energy, transport, agriculture and forestry, waste, e-mobility, industrial, manufacturing sectors.
Each project includes an analysis of individual needs, financial, technical, gender equality, social inclusion. Issues in attracting investment have also been a part of the projects. The British High Commission will provide its tailor support to all projects in February 2023.
Projects are related to pollution reduction, employment opportunities, energy access, waste management, as per British High Commission. E-mobility, gender equality, social inclusion will benefit local population across Pakistan.
The CFA is a component of the UK government's initiatives to assist Pakistan in gaining access to climate finance and achieving the objectives outlined in its Nationally Determined Contribution under the Paris Agreement.
