Wafi Energy becomes majority shareholder of Shell Pakistan Limited

Wafi Energy Holding Limited has become the majority shareholder of Shell Pakistan Limited, acquiring a 77.42% stake and now controlling a total of 87.78% of Shell Pakistan’s shares, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
Despite the acquisition, the Shell brand will continue to operate in Pakistan under the new ownership structure.
Ghassan Amoudi, CEO of Asyad Group, has been appointed as the Chairperson of Shell Pakistan. Commenting on the acquisition, Amoudi highlighted that the purchase marks a significant milestone for Asyad Group, enhancing its presence in Pakistan and across the region.
Waqar Siddiqui, Chief Executive and Managing Director of Shell Pakistan, reaffirmed the company's commitment to advancing a sustainable energy future in collaboration with Wafi Energy.
