The Federal Investigative Agency (FIA) has decided to tighten the noose around outlaws and for that purpose, it constituted a committee that will propose changes in the Standard Operating Procedures (SPOs) for inquiries and investigations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.
The FIA has formed a committee to change the 2018 SOPs and appointed FIA Additional Director General Basharat Shehzad as the Committee Chairman while FIA Director Shuja Naveed and the FIA Director Law will be the committee members, the TV channel reported.
It has now been decided to fine-tune the SOPs for inquiries and investigations.
The committee will come up with SOPs for the investigation procedures and the appointment of the investigation head, the TV channel reported.
It has also been decided that the FIA Front Unit will verify the case before application submission. The SOPs will also be made for monitoring of the inquiries and FIA registered cases.
