Provincial communications minister calls on Ch Pervaiz Elahi 

Provincial Minister for Communications Sardar Asif Nikai called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Friday. 
Punjab Assembly Secretary Muhammad Khan Bhatti and Secretary Communications Capt (r) Asad were also present in the meeting. 

During the meeting, parliamentary affairs and other issues of the Punjab Assembly were discussed.

On the occasion, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the Punjab Assembly was fully active in the matter of legislation. He said that the Punjab Assembly had made record legislation as compared to other assemblies in the country. As Custodian of the House, he has always encouraged members to legislate on public issues, he said. 
The government as well as members of the opposition have been given a conducive environment for legislation, he added. 
Asif Nikai said that Speaker Chaudhry Parvez Elahi listened to public issues raised by government and opposition members on a priority basis. He said that Ch Pervaiz Elahi had played a positive role in speeding up the legislative process.
