Saudi Arabia is experiencing heavy rainstorms in various cities, prompting the Civil Defense Department to issue alerts for several regions, including Medina, Mecca, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions, especially in the Medina region, where severe rain is expected today.
In response to the weather conditions, the Saudi Ministry of Education has announced that schools will remain closed on September 1.
The heaviest rainfall was recorded at Medina Airport, measuring 37.4 mm, while the areas around Masjid al-Nabawi saw 27.6 mm.
Mecca received 17.4 mm of rain, Al-Baha recorded 28.6 mm, and Asir experienced 16.6 mm.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have urged the public to remain vigilant and adhere to safety guidelines during this period of adverse weather.
