Lankan Air Force Commander Rajapaksa calls on General Sahir Shamshad to discuss defense collaboration

Sri Lanka Air Force Commander Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, called on General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee at Joint Staff Headquarters Rawalpindi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. During the meeting, both sides reiterated their commitment to enhancing bilateral security and defense collaboration.
CJCSC General Sahir Shamshad told him said that Pakistan values its enduring relationship with Sri Lanka, highlighting a shared commitment to fortifying bilateral ties, particularly in defense and security.
On the occasion, Air Marshal RAUP Rajapaksa appreciated the high professional standards of Pakistan Army and their achievements in fight against terrorism and continued efforts for regional peace and stability.
Earlier, upon arrival at Joint Staff Headquarters, a smartly turned out tri-services contingent presented ‘guard of honour’ to Commander of the Sri Lankan Air Force.
