Former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has come down hard on the people pointing finger at Tablighi Ijtima.

Some elements in the ruling coalition are trying to stop the Raiwind congregation in the wake of coronavirus breakout, Shujaat said, adding that the critics of the congregation are of the view that the pilgrims are the ‘source’ of the pandemic.

He said these elements have perhaps forgotten that the virus spread even in the jungles of the US and South Africa. Neither an atomic bomb nor a missile could save them from it, he added.
