Govt plans special protocol, privileges for top taxpayers

In order to promote tax culture, the federal government is planning to launch scheme of special incentives for top taxpayers including exporters who will be given special protocol, privileges, govt passport and other facilities at the airports, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The ‘Pakistan Honour Cards’ would be issued to 65 top exporters and compliant taxpayers including companies and individual taxpayers.
The Feral Board of Revenue will issue these cards to the top tax payers after the approval of the scheme by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Moreover, the top tax payers who will be liable to get these cards will also be invited to PM Shehbaz Sharif special dinner at the PM House Islamabad.
According to the sources, the privileges to be granted to the card holders include speedy clearance at immigration counters; issuance of official passports and facilities and privileges at the VIP lounges of airports.
The cardholders would also be invited to an annual dinner by the prime minister. Different categories of taxpayers would been titled to facilities under the scheme.
The scheme will also cover new taxpayers with the highest tax paid and Small and Medium Enterprises.
