A teenage boy on Friday died due to alleged negligence of a doctor in the government hospital in Jhelum, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Sources informed that a 19-year-old boy was admitted to the DHQ Hospital in Jhelum for a minor nose operation. He was quite healthy when admitted but during surgery, the boy expired.

The family of the deceased boy alleged that the doctor administered him anesthesia in large quantity which caused his death.

Hospital MS Shoaib Kiyani said that he had ordered an inquiry into the death of the teenage boy and formed a three-member committee.

He vowed to take action against the negligent doctor.

The family submitted an application to the concerned police station for registration of a case against the surgeon.
