Armed Forces prepared to thwart enemy’s nefarious plots: COAS

Chief of the Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir has declared that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are very well prepared to foil any nefarious designs of the enemies, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Army Chief witnessed integrated fire and battle manoeuvres of various elements at Khairpur Tamewali during field exercise of Bahawalpur Corps, said a statement issued by the ISPR on Saturday.

The Army Chief visited troops to inspect the field exercise of Bahawalpur Corps and witnessed various elements including armour, mechanized infantry, artillery, air defence, anti-tank guided missiles duly supported by Pakistan Air Force and combat aviation.

The Army Chief was briefed about field exercise, aimed at enhancing professional skills at various tiers and battlefield procedures required to meet future challenges in operational environment.

Later, General Asim Munir interacted with troops participating in the exercise. He appreciated the training standards, operational preparedness and high morale of officers and troops.

The COAS directed the troops to keep serving the nation with traditional zeal and passion under all circumstances.

Gen Asim Munir emphasized that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are cognizant of the challenges and with the support of the nation they are prepared to thwart any nefarious designs of the country’s enemies.

He said military’s full attention is focused on defending the borders of the motherland.

On arrival at the exercise field, General Asim Munir was received by the Bahawalpur Corps Commander.
