Bid to smuggle hashish in sweets foiled at Islamabad Airport

Islamabad Airport Security Force (ASF) foiled an attempt to smuggle hash (hashish) out of the country and arrested a Doha-bound passenger, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
On suspicion, the ASF personnel intercepted the passenger and found hash hidden in the sweets box and later the accused confessed to swallowing the drug-filled capsules as well who he wanted to smuggle to Doha, Qatar.
The ASF handed over the accused to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). The smuggler was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital for recovery of the drug-filled capsules after that the ANF will initiate a formal legal action and lodge an FIR against him.
Meanwhile, the ANF and police personnel in a separate raid intercepted a vehicle at the Srinagar Highway and recovered 48kg opium and 17kg charas hidden in the secret pockets of the car.
The Police arrested two accused including a woman and launched an investigation after lodging an FIR against them.
