Police raid fireworks warehouse in Lahore

Police raided a warehouse full of fireworks and arrested a suspect for manufacturing and selling fireworks despite ban in Shadbagh area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
During the raid, fireworks worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were recovered from the accused.
As many as 10,500 fire sticks and their molds, six boxes of roped crackers, 50 boxes of small crackers, fire boxes, match bombs and other equipment and materials were seized.
Accused Khizr Hayat secretly used to deliver fireworks to different places in the city despite the ban imposed by the government.
SP City Captain (retd) Qazi Ali Raza commended SHO Shadbagh and his team for major action against illegal fireworks business.
