AJK govt announces cash reward for info about fugitives

The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government announced a reward for information about the fugitives, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
The AJK’s Ministry of Information announced a reward for information leading to the arrest of the fugitives including six death row inmates.
The ministry of information appealed to the public to come forward to help the authorities cage the escapees.
Earlier, seven jail staff, including the deputy superintendent, were arrested and an investigation was launched after the Rawalakot Jailbreak.
The Azad Kashmir High Court was also requested to form a judicial commission to investigate the incident.
Nineteen inmates, including six on death row, escaped from the Rawalakot prison while one inmate, who was injured during the escape, succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.
