Saudi Arabia extends royal invitation to brave ASP Shehrbano

Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki has invited Lahore ASP Syeda Shehrbano Naqvi and her family to a royal visit after she saved a woman from a violent mob in Lahore’s Ichhra Market a few days back, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The Saudi ambassador commended the police officer for her brave effort during their meeting at the Saudi embassy in Islamabad.
Shehrbano Naqvi rescued a woman from a violent mob that surrounded her for wearing a dress with Arabic calligraphy on it.
Envoy Al-Malki told ASP Naqvi that the Saudi government would bear the expenses of her travel to Saudi Arabia with her family as a royal guest.
Following her heroic efforts, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir had lauded the ASP for her devotion to duty and professionalism in defusing a volatile situation.
Viral videos had shown multiple police officials including Dolphin Squad members seen in Lahore’s Ichhra Bazar after a mob surrounded a woman for wearing a dress with Arabic calligraphy on it.
ASP Shehrbano Naqvi was then seen reasoning with the crowd after which she escorted the woman out of the shop with an arm around her.
