Disobeying the official announcement of observing Eid-ul-Fitr on Tuesday, an Imam of a mosque in Mandi Bahauddin has been booked for offering Eid prayers unofficially on Monday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, in the village of Miana Gondal in district Mandi Bahauddin, a complaint was lodged against 14 persons including the Imam of the village for violating the decision of the Central Route Hilal Committee by offering the prayers of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Case registered against 14 persons including an Imam of the mosque for offering Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in Mandi Bahauddin Chak No 28.
As per police, the Imam of the mosque Qari Muhammad Ilyas first announced to observe Eid-ul-Fitr today (Monday) and then offered the Eid prayers.
The case has been registered in the Miana Gondal police station under section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
