Urs of Ghulam Farid (RA) continues in Kot Mithhan

A seminar highlighting the services of the great saint on Wednesday was the main feature of the second day of the 125th Annual Urs Celebrations of Sufi Poet Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Fareed (RA), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.  

The three-day Urs of the great saint of the Sub-Continent was on Tuesday amid tight security at Kot Mithhan in district Rajanpur. The Urs began with a bath of the mausoleum. More than a thousand litres of rose water were used to wash the premises. 

Many devotees from all over the country besides India continue to throng in Kot Mithhan to attend the Urs celebrations. 

The seminar aimed at highlighting the services of the Sufi was attended by several Sufi saints of the region. Khawaja Bilal Chisti, the custodian of Ajmer Shareef shrine, was the chief guest at the conference. The conference was followed by a recitation of famous kaafis by the poet.

Jalusa Chadar Poshi and Muhafil Sama are other prominent features of the second of the Urs.  

On the third day of Kot Mithan, Urs, the Sama and Khatam Sharif ceremony will take place.
