Nargis torture: Son writes to Lahore commissioner for stage actress' safety

Actress Nargis’ son Murtaza Ali Shah has sought the Lahore Commissioner’s help over the torture of her mother by her husband Inspector Majid Bashir. 

In an email, he said his mother asked him to contact the commissioner and the media to look into the matter.

Earlier Nargis’ brother complained to police that her brother-in-law Majid Bashir had been subjecting his sister to torture.

On the other hand, sources in the police said the actress has yet to complain against her husband.

Nargis married Majid a few years ago and bade adieu to the world of showbiz. The sources said she has been running a saloon for several years.

Her son Murtaza Shah appealed for the safety of her mother.
