A grounded Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Boeing 737 plane has been successfully shifted from Karachi to the Civil Aviation Institute in Hyderabad via road on Friday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the plane, which departed Karachi yesterday on a trawler, was moved to Hyderabad Airport, where it will be used for training purposes at the Civil Aviation Institute.
The trailer carrying the aircraft travelled through multiple routes, reaching Hyderabad Airport via Hyderabad Toll Plaza, Bypass, Hala Naka, and finally Fatah Chowk.
The length of the shifted aeroplane was 110 feet while its weight was 40 tonnes, and it was transported on a 74-wheeler trawler of a private transport company.
Deputy Director of Logistics Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Munir Alam said that the plane will be used for providing training to under-training students.
A team of experts from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) also accompanied the transport company during the process of shifting.
