Police Friday registered a case and launched an operation to recover a little girl two days after the five-year-old Zainab went missing from Quaidabad area of Karachi.

According to police, the girl might have drowned in a local drain as such incidents took place in the area recently.

However, police say an operation was underway against suspected kidnappers and ads were also being released.

Last month, citizens reported having averted a bid to kidnap a child and handed over the suspected kidnaper to Baghdadi police while the case was registered with Quiadabad police station. The body of a girl found two days after she went missing.
