No further extension in tax return filing date after Oct 15: FBR

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Saturday clarified that it would not extend the income tax return filing date beyond October 15, reported 24NewsHD TV.
The FBR said that 1.8 million returns were filed by September 30. In the last three days, the FBR received 600,000 income tax return from across the country.
Moreover, taxpayers face periodic technical complications due to the excessive traffic during the last week.
It may be observed that the FBR online portal for those aiming to file their tax returns online has been encountered errors in its server, causing immense difficulties to people.
Earlier. Finance Minister taking into consideration the taxpayers pleas have announced the extension in tax filing return date to 15 more days on September 30.
Now the filers have until October 15 to submit their returns.
