Dubai-bound PIA flight makes emergency landing at Karachi Airport

Pakistan International Airline (PIA) flight from Peshawar to Dubai made an emergency landing at Karachi Airport on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to sources, PIA flight PK-283 with more than 170 passengers on board had to land at Karachi after developing a technical problem.

However, the captain was able to land the plane safely at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

Sources said that there was an indication of fire in the cargo compartment.

Malfunctions due to lack of spare parts have become common in PIA planes, sources said.
