Drug addict throws acid on wife in Karachi

A drug addict threw acid on his wife leaving most part of her body burned and managed to escape from the crime scene on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The victim’s sister and brother Amir in a statement to the police claimed, “My sister Saima, 23, was living with us after she had developed some differences with her husband Sajid. My brother-in-law came last night and threw acid on my sister and fled away.”
The police have said that an FIR has been lodged and a search was underway to nab the accused.
The acid has disfigured Saima’s face and burned several parts of her body. She was now under treatment at the Civil Hospital.
Saima has been working as a maid in people’s houses and looking after her children herself.
