Eight more members of Tableeghi Jamaat were tested positive for coronavirus in Hangu and Ghotki, 24NewsHD reported.

Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that the infected people, staying at the Tableeghi Jamaat’s local centre, belonged to Karachi and were being shifted to hospital.

On the other hand, two other persons were diagnosed with the virus in Ghotki. In this connection, District Headquarters Hospital MS Dr Altaf said that they had tested 13 people from the Jamaat’s centre and the results of two were positive.

The infected persons, who are from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have now been shifted to a quarantine facility in Sukkur.

Separately, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, after receiving the reports of excesses against the Tableeghi Jamaat members at Raiwind, on Thursday directed the officials to treat them with kindness and ensure the provision of facilities to them.

According to a letter issued by the Punjab IGP, the Jamaat members should be quarantined at its local centres and politely convinced that the preaching could endanger the lives in the society.
