PPP petition in SC seeks reversal of deputy speaker’s ruling

Pakistan Peoples Party has filed a petition in the Supreme Court requesting it to overturn the “unconstitutional” ruling of the National Assembly deputy speaker, rejecting the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PPP Secretary General Nayyar Bukhari submitted the application in the Supreme Court on Sunday afternoon.
The application also sought court’s order for conducting voting on the no-trust motion. The court also requested to prevent any kind of interference in the no-confidence motion.
