Harak bridge restoration to revive train service in Balochistan

Harak railway bridge that connects Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, to other parts of the country will be opened for train operation after seven months on April 15 next, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to the railway authorities, the railway bridge was damaged on August 25, 2022 due to heavy rains and floods.
The bridge had collapsed a few kilometers away from the Machh railway station in the middle of the mountains.
“Work for the reconstruction of the bridge is in the final stage, and the train service will be resumed within 10 days,” the railway officials said.
It is to be noted here that the train operation was reduced to Machh railway station after the collapse of the bridge.
