Security man martyred, 4 terrorists killed in Mardan firefight

A security man was martyred and four terrorists were killed in a firefight in Mardan on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Foiling the terrorists’ attack in Sawaldhair area, the security forces responded rapidly and shot dead four attackers.

During the shootout, a security personnel was also martyred.

It may be mentioned here that a police station in the Katlang area of Mardan district was also targeted in a militant attack on Tuesday last, resulting in a heavy explosion followed by sustained gunfire. One police constable sustained injuries during the incident.
