Private Airlines flight was cleared by security officials at Islamabad airport after a hoax bomb alert.
According to officials, hoax call created panic among passengers and management. The captain alerted the control tower about the bomb threat. After complete search operation, the information proved false and the two informants were arrested. The two friends were informed about the bomb by a third friend.
The private airline's flight was set to depart from Islamabad to Karachi at 2pm. Once security clearance is given, the aircraft will be used for the next flight,” said the PIA spokesperson. Eight MNAs including Deputy Speaker National Assembly Mustafa Shah were also among the passengers. The flight will be allowed after clearance. The spokesperson of the National Assembly has confirmed the incident.
