FIA arrests 2 for human smuggling, visa fraud

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has claimed to have arrested two individuals in connection with human smuggling and visa fraud in different areas of the country, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to Bahawal Usto, deputy director of the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Karachi, two suspects identified as Jawad and Tahir were arrested.
Action against the accused was carried out on a tip-off, the deputy director hinted.
He said that the accused used to lure people with promises of sending them to Europe and extracting substantial amounts from them.
According to the initial investigation, the suspects also received lakhs of rupees from various people in different cities by providing fake Schengen states’ visas.
Bahawal Usto said a large number of passports, stamps, seals, and other documents were recovered from the possession of the accused.
An investigation has been started against them.
