Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood Saturday declared that the examination would be held at all cost and urged the students to prepare for themselves, reported 24News HD TV channel.
He said the examinations would neither cancelled nor postponed and would be held as per the date sheet set by the educational boards.
Earlier, students in different cities continue to stage protests for the cancellation of the intermediate and matriculation examinations.
However, the federal education minister has made it clear that no student would be promoted to the next grade without examinations.
Talking to the media after a ceremony to inaugurate a book in Lahore, Shafqat said some students are hoping that examinations would be cancelled.
However, he said that no such thing would happen and the educational boards would conduct the examinations as per the announced date sheet.
The Board examinations will start with 12th grade exams from July 10 across Punjab.
The government has already slashed the syllabus for the said examinations by half and has decided to take the examinations for only elective subjects.
