Two cops martyred as dacoits attack police checkpost in Kandhkot  

Two police personnel were martyred while three were injured when dacoits attacked a police checkpost in the katcha area of Kandhkot, Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to the police, more than 20 dacoits resorted to indiscriminate firing at the checkpost.

The cops retaliated which resulted in the death of a dacoit, the police said, adding soon afterward, a heavy contingent of police reached the crime scene.

The bodies and the injured were shifted to a hospital.

The martyred personnel were identified as Allah Dino Sabzoi and Nisar Ahmad Kalhoro while those who were injured were Zahid Naseerani and Anwar Channa, the Force said, adding that later the dacoits fled to the katcha area while firing into the air.   

Minister condemns attack on police checkpost

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has condemned the attack on the police checkpost in the Katcha area of Kandhkot.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Wednesday paid tribute to two police officers who were martyred while fighting bravely.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi expressed heartfelt sympathy and condolences to the families of the martyred police personnel.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured police personnel.

In his message, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the police bravely confronted the robbers and killed one of the assailants.
