PCB yet to clear dues of PSL 5 match officials

The Pakistan Super League match officials face economic difficulties as the dues of the local officials supervising the matches of the league have not been paid yet, despite the lapse of more than two and a half months.

According to details, after the postponement of the PSL Five, match officials' dues are still not paid and the local match officials are facing financial difficulties due to the prevailing lockdown situation. The match officials include 16 scorers, 10 umpires and three-match referees.

Moreover, it also has been found out that 25 percent dues of the players have also not been paid yet.

According to the PCB, since the league was postponed so payments were delayed and the procedure for payment of dues of officials will be decided in the next few days after the opening of the board offices.

The PCB also added that a procedure is also being worked out for payment of the remaining 25% dues of the players and once the procedure is finalised, the schedule of payments will be announced.

It is pertinent to mention that all matches of PSL Five were held in Pakistan but the league had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The PCB expects to finish the remaining games before PSL 2021.
