Wasim Akram labelled ‘legend’ by wife Shaniera Akram on 55th birthday

King of Swings or the greatest left-handed bowler of all time, Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram doesn’t need an introduction.

It’s time to celebrate though as one of the best fast bowlers has turned fifty-five.

During Wasim Akram’s era, Pakistan engaged in many victories and covered the milestone of reaching 1999 World Cup final. He was also the key performer in Pakistan’s World Cup 1992 triumph.

Amongst various birthday wishes that the cricket star is receiving over social media, his wife’s long-distance birthday wish managed to stand out for us.

Shaniera Akram took to Instagram handle to profess her gratitude for being wedded to a legend and a true inspiration.

Sharing a very heart-warming picture in which the love-birds give each other a cheery smile, we couldn’t help but be immersed in warmth.

Shaniera also took out some time to write a long and special caption for her husband.

She mentions how Wasim Akram is a true source of inspiration to the world.

And that he keeps proving: Age is only a number.

Also that it is rather possible to keep getting better with passing time.

She emphasises on how Akram is a standalone asset to the world and an epitome of remarkability.

Shaniera wants to be a better human because of her husband who always reminds her to cherish each moment by living in it.

She reflects on how the couple is far apart on the day of Wasim’s birthday however the cricketer makes her feel as if they are right there with each other.

For Akram’s wife, he is the best thing that ever happened to her and she will always love him.

Shaniera wrote, "Heroes come and go but legends are forever! You truly are an inspiration to not only our little family but to the world. You prove that age is only a number and that it’s possible to keep getting better with time," she posted.

"I’m so proud of the person you were before we met and the man you have since become. A true trailblazer, a standalone asset to this world and a truly remarkable man in and out of the public eye. You make me want to be a better human and teach me that the real meaning of happiness is by living in the moment and making every bit of those moments count".

She further added, "I know we are not together today for your birthday but you have made it seem as though we have never even been apart for a minute. I wish you a long life, a happy one and the more we keep laughing the faster the time will go till we are back in each other’s arms. You’re are and always will be the best thing that has happened to me. I love you now and for always”.
