MQM to not field candidates for two senate seats of Sindh

Muttahida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) has decided not to take part in by-election on two vacant seats of senate from Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Saturday.

According to sources, the party has announced to give free passage to PPP to nominate its candidates on two seats vacated after Nisar Khuhro and Jam Mehtab Dahar elected as the members of Sindh Assembly.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has already announced the schedule for the upcoming Senate by-election on six vacant general seats on March 14.

MQM Pakistan will actively participate in the senate elections, however, it will not field any its candidate on the two vacant seats in the Senate from Sindh.

The sources said, this month, at least 49 senators will complete their 6-year term.
