The Pakistan Association of Medication and Dental Institutions (PAMI) has rejected the central induction policy.

In a statement, the association raised reservations and recalled that the policy left the students in the lurch in the past.

It inflicted a big damage upon the future of the students, depriving many students of their right to education.

As per the directives of the government and PMDC, the private medical institutions completed the admission process by September 1, it said, adding that throughout the process, rules and regulations are followed and merit is maintained.

The Specialised Health Department’s policy has no legal status, the association stressed, adding that it raised the matter with Health Minister Dr Javed through a letter and a meeting.

The statement elaborated on the process and pointed out the policy’s perils, recalling that 230 seats remained vacant in 2018-19, and 118 in 2019-20.

In a bid to secure the future of medical students in a better way, the PMDC annulled it.
