Opposition parties have made a new strategy to keep safe the ruling party’s estranged legislators in a private luxury hotel in the Gulberg area of Lahore.
the 24News HD TV channel reported on Monday that the united opposition has come up with a new strategy to elect Hamza Shahbaz as Chief Minister and has accommodated all the MPAs including rebel members of the PTI at the hotel.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) soon after came to know the venue of its estranged members of the provincial assembly of Punjab (MPAs) surrounded the hotel and started protesting against the opposition.
The PTI workers led by female MPA Sadia Sohail Rana reached outside the Avari Express Hotel in Gulberg, Lahore and chanted the slogan “Hamarey MPA Wapis Karo” (Return our MPAs).
PTI’s MPA Sadia said the opposition has started Changa Manga politics and now a hotel in Gulberg is being used for the same tactics.
Workers of the PTI also tried to remove the security bearers and other obstacles to going inside the hotel.
In this situation, the opposition party, the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Salman Rafique warns the opponents to end their protest otherwise he will call his workers.
Anyhow the PTI workers continue their protest outside the hotel.
Meanwhile, the PML-N leader Hamza Shahbaz also reached the hotel and held meetings with the MPAs. On this occasion, the members of the assembly said that they are here of their own free will.
The legislators staying in the hotel also said that if voting takes place on April 6, Hamza Shahbaz will become the Chief Minister with a clear majority.
