Questioning integrity draws top court judge’s disappointment

Supreme Court judge Justice Sajjad Ali Shah wrote a letter to the chief justice of Pakistan, expressing disappointment in questioning the integrity of judges of the Sindh High Court.

“It is disappointing that a member of the Judicial Commission doubts the integrity of the judges of the Sindh High Court. Based on information received from one or two lawyers, questions were raised on the judges of the Sindh High Court,” states the letter.

The chief justice should restore the confidence of judicial commission members, it said, adding that there is retirement after a few days, I will not participate in the next meeting of the Judicial Commission, letter

Pakistan Bar representative Akhtar Hussain did not question the integrity of the judges of the Sindh High Court, according to the letter. Akhtar Hussain only objected to the nominations of Justice Shafi Siddique and Justice Hasan Azhar Rizvi, it added. Justice Sardar Tariq Masood questioned the integrity of Sindh High Court judges.
