The efforts of 24NewsHD TV channel have borne fruit as the administration has started providing food and clean drinking water to the flood-hit people in Arifwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
24NewsHD TV channel aired the news about the worst conditions faced by the flood-hit people in Arifwala the other day following which the administration sprang into action.
It is to be noted here that dozens of villages along the Sutlej River have been submerged and standing crops spread over thousands of acres of land have been destroyed.
The flood-hit people have been faced with a shortage of food, clean drinking water and fodder for animals.
Currently, a water current of 72,000 cusecs is wreaking havoc on villages along the Sutlej River.
On the other hand, the weather in Karachi is likely to remain cloudy and muggy.
The weather is pleasant as light winds are blowing in the city.
The current temperature in the city has been recorded at 29 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature is likely to go up to 32 to 34 degrees Celsius.
The proportion of humidity in the air has been recorded at 78 percent.
In Lahore, the temperature was recorded at 32 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the city is likely to be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature at 36 degrees Celsius, experts said.
There is no possibility of rain in Lahore during the next 24 hours, they added.
