Jailed former prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has been provided winter clothes and books he requested, according to sources.
Khan was provided winter clothes, shawls and books two days after he complained to the court about the missing facilities in his Adiala Jail cell where he has been incarcerated since August 5, 2023.
On October 30, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued notices to the secretary interior, the secretary law, the Punjab Home Department and the Adiala Jail superintendent while hearing a petition filed against withdrawal of facilities from former prime minister Imran Khan at Adiala Jail.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir of the IHC heard the petition filed by Noreen Niazi. Advocate Shoaib Shaheen appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner, arguing that the PTI founder has been deprived of B-class facilities that he is entitled to in the prison.
