The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Lahore president Prof Ashraf Nizami has said the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) must ensure that all medical institutions strictly adhere to its governing rules and regulations.

Speaking alongside General Secretary Prof Shahid Malik in a joint statement, Nizami highlighted the importance of regulatory compliance for both government and private medical colleges.

The PMDC has implemented an effective strategy for community health services education across medical colleges, which Nizami commended.

This strategy is designed to expose medical students and future doctors to real-world conditions, providing them with crucial training in treating local diseases. Such practical exposure is vital in developing world-class doctors who are well-equipped to address the healthcare needs of the community.

Nizami and Malik praised the PMDC's efforts, noting that the council's initiatives are not only enhancing the quality of medical education but are also essential for the professional growth of medical students.
