Former revenue and estate minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s Principal Secretary Latif Niazi confessed that he used to sell government jobs to the public and gave the money to the minister, the 24News HD TV channel reported.
After remand, Latif Niazi recorded his statement and accused Ali Amin Gandapur of selling jobs in the education, irrigation and Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) departments to the public for large amounts of money when he was provincial finance minister.
He said that Gandapur used to run this racket through him. He had also given him a letter pad with all the details including the names of the concerned officers.
Later, when he became federal minister, Gandapur managed this business through him using verbal directions. He used to buy land with the money gathered from selling the jobs.
